Technique of the Month:
Coloured Crystal Effects

This is a technique that gives you a beautiful, professional look, and is so easy to do.

Supplies: Crystal Effects by Stampin’ Up!
Re-inker colours that co-ordinate with your project
Inexpensive paint brushes (so they can be thrown away after use)
   Small disposable containers

     1. Place a small amount of Crystal Effects into a container (about a teaspoon’s worth)
     2. Place ONE drop of ink into the Crystal Effects and mix well until all the colour is well
        incorporated.
     3. Use a paint brush and paint the Coloured Crystal Effects on your design as you like.
     4. Place finished work on a flat surface to dry.

Painting on the Crystal Effects will give you a slightly raised, very glossy and translucent colour over your image. You will still be able to see your stamped image through the colour.

The thicker you put on the coloured Crystal Effects, the more raised the dimension will be. It will also take longer to dry.

This technique also allows you to colour stamped images on slick surfaces that you would not be able to use with products such as Chalks, or Watercolour pencils. (for example see Journal pictured above)

Try it!! You’ll love the results.
